System requirements for CAS genesisWorld - version 10

System requirements vary depending on their usage. They are influenced by various important factors, such as number and intensity of users, data volume, etc. The following specifications are minimum requirements corresponding to average operation characteristics.

Server

Only 32-bit systems are supported

Database

• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and later, Standard and Desktop Edition (MSDE)
• Oracle 9i and later, Standard and Enterprise Edition

Client

No special requirements are needed; a standard workstation computer is sufficient. When effecting installations for single workstations or notebooks with replication, please keep the system requirements of the server in mind.

E-mail server

The following requirements have to be kept in mind when choosing an e-mail server:

• The protocols IMAP or POP3 are to be supported according to the defined standard.
• The mail server has to be multisession capable.
• At least twenty simultaneously open connections per user have to be activated on the server.

Releases

We support both the latest operating system version and their forerunners. Variances can occur when e.g. new versions are released a short time ago or forerunner versions are still popular among our customers.

The same applies to each third party software which runs on our programs, especially databases, office applications, browser or synchronisation software.

For our product, we also support both the latest version and its forerunner. We offer support for these versions, fix problems and also put, if necessary, important requests into practice.
