UNCODE - Unified Modelling Language for Component Design

Use of UML for component-oriented development

Download
Technical documentation (1.144 KB)

The initial subject of UNCODE was the integration and correct use of UML in a appropriate tool focused on component-oriented development. During execution of the experiment we recognised that we needed a suitable lifecycle model in order to deal with new organisational and working structures resulting from component orientation. Forschungszentrum Informatik (FZI) Karlsruhe, a research institute with wide experience in software technology, supported us translating the fundamental research results into practical applications. The project was completed at the end of January 1999.
