The IISME participants develop a multimedia based online Customer Relationship Management system in order to support process oriented sales and marketing activities. Principal objective of participating companies is the development of efficient Internet/Intranet based applications for small and medium sized companies (SMEs). Especially SME’s willing to react to global demand by integrating online techniques into their business processes will profit from the experience gained in IISME. Development of tools and platforms is focused on three user groups.
- Enterprise internal users (the sales and marketing staff in particular)
- Retail partners
- Final customers
Opportunity to gain direct feedback from final customers
The use of online techniques gives the opportunity to gain direct feedback from final customers and allows external implementation of business processes. This makes IISME unique in comparison to the state of the art systems, which in general are destined for internal users and make limited use of online technology.
