The AMBIENT LEARNING service offers ambient, multimodal, personalised and context-sensitive access to learning. The

The Hypergeo participants addressed the development of mobile solutions
that integrate geographical information. Such tools create important

(CRM) system for a distributed network of small and medium sized

LIP is intended to empower individuals to define, procure (in a proactive way depending on particular role
and task of the users) and manage their own learning for work within an organisational context, which offers
rich sources for inferring user needs. >> more
MOSAIC develops scenarios and roadmaps for mobile and location-aware working, builds strategies for deploying
innovative mobile work technologies and applications in sector domains, and starts up initiatives for joint

As part of the EC/EFTA funded eEurope 2005 initiative - "An information society for all",
a Specialist Task Force (STF 287) has been set up to look at the difficulties and barriers encountered by people communicating and
accessing information when in environments where the culture or language is different to
their own.

At the Forschungszentrum Informatik, Karlsruhe an innovative approach to integrate design patterns into existing object oriented systems has been worked out. In TROOP we have evaluated the industrial effectiveness of this approach.

The initial subject of UNCODE was the integration and correct use of UML in a appropriate tool focused on
component-oriented development. During execution of the experiment we recognised that we needed a suitable lifecycle
model in order to deal with new organisational and working structures resulting from component orientation.

The VISION project will provide a strategic roadmap towards
next-generation organisational knowledge management. VISION pursues
a cyclic and incremental approach for reviewing existing show cases
(research projects, products, etc.) and state-of-the-art technology.

For a better understanding of the requirements for virtual enterprise partnerships CAS Software started VENTO.
Together with partners like Biba, Staffware and Knowledge we established a virtual enterprise model. We then integrated
groupware as well as workflow tools and adapted them in order to increase synergy effects within and between working
