History

1986 CAS Software AG was founded in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1986 by Martin Hubschneider and Ludwig Neer.
Since 1986 CAS Software develops several tailor-made sales support and customer service systems for Daimler. Today these are used worldwide by more than 3,000 Daimler sales persons in 13 different countries.
Since 1991 Development and distribution of standardized software for customer and information management.
1991 Market launch of the groupware teamWorks. The Product counts, with more than 50,000 licences, to the top-selling contact management systems.
1991 Together with PTV AG (Karlsruhe), CAS Software developes and distributes the professional route planning map&guide.
Since 1995 All products are consequently designed as web-based applications.
1996 CAS Software presents “Reiseplanung.de” the first German online route planning.
1996 map&guide becomes German market leader for professional route planning.
1997 YellowMap, one of the CAS Software participations, presents the first European yellow pages with digital maps.
1997 CAS Software develops a car configurator for cars for Daimler.
1998  Market launch of the CRM groupware CAS genesisWorld. The software replaces the contact management system teamWorks and offers with its innovative, scaleable technology several alternatives for integration. Today, CAS genesisWorld belongs to the leading CRM solutions in the SME sector. 
1998 CRM groupware CAS genesisWorld receives the "European IT Prize”..
Since 2000 The products of CAS Software are optimized for mobile access. Step by Step the motto "Well Informed. Always and Everywhere." is realized.
2000 map&guide becomes European market leader for professional route planning..

LeserAuskunft, participation of CAS, publishes the online shop "PresseKatalog.de", which offers more than 20,000 entries of the latest press releases.
2000 CAS Software AG outsources the MAP&GUIDE GmbH and brings it into the PTV AG. CAS Software is today major single shareholder of PTV AG (approx. 480 employees). Marco Polo Travel Center, Falk route planning (CD ROM, Online), Map&Route of DeTeMedien and PowerRoute of G-Data belong to the map&guide product line.
Since 2001 Internationalisation of products and distribution. Since then CAS products are available in English and Italian. Versions in further languages soon follow.
2001 With the car configurator for trucks there is another subject available for customers and potential buyers of Daimler, which informs visitors of the Mercedes-Benz website with textual, graphical and video presentations about the numerous truck models and extra equipment.
2001 The Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen (RWTH Aachen University) introduces the university information system CAS Campus for 1,200 professors and 28,000 students. Due to the system, which bases on CAS genesisWorld technology, it is possible to register courses, reserve rooms and create booking schedules.
2002 CAS Software AG receives the CRM Award for outstanding success in the SME sector.
Since 2002  Development and distribution of software solutions for effective teamwork.
2002 Market launch of the Intranet groupware CAS teamWorks. The solution sets new standards for economically priced and effective information management in the SME sector.
2002 The Intranet groupware CAS teamWorks is nominated for the “European IT Prize”.
2003 For the first time, CAS Software initiates the "Mittelstandsprogramm". By providing business software and services with a total value of more than 1.5 million Euros, 27 partner companies sponsor the promotion initiative price.
2003 CAS Software AG receives the award "Top 100 Outstanding Innovators in the German SME sector" for its outstanding innovations. Furthermore, CAS Software is winner in the category "Innovative Climate".
2003 Market launch of the contact management software CAS Contact. The product addresses individual user, self-employed workers and small and medium sized businesses which want to improve their contact management.
2003 CAS genesisWorld customer Isabellenhütte Heusler in Dillenburg is awarded the CRM Best Practice Gold Award for the small and mid-sized company category. With the CRM groupware, approximately 3,300 working hours can be saved and the ROI achieved within a year.
Since 2003 Several industry solutions based on existing technologies are implemented: CAS Campus, the decentral university system, and QM Intranet, the Intranet solution for quality management (together with WEKA).
2004 From January to the end of April the promotion initiative "Mittelstandsprogramm 2004" again takes place.
2004 With CAS genesisWorld 6, CAS Software received the TeleTalk Best of CeBIT 2004 Award.
2004 CAS Software AG receives the TOP 100 award for its outstanding innovative performances. For the second consecutive time, CAS secures the prize in the category "Innovative Climate" as part of the countrywide comparison study.
2004 Business Travel International GmbH was awarded the CRM Best Practice Gold Award 2004 for the small and mid-sized company category at the CRM Expo. The company was awarded for its cross-locational customer and information management with CAS genesisWorld. With this CRM solution, Business Travel International was able to reduce its search time by 80 percent.
2005 On the third occasion of the promotion initiative “Mittelstandsprogramm 2005” from January to May, 65 sponsors are supporting the SME sector with prices with a total value of more than 1.7 million Euros.
2005 CAS Software belongs to the top-innovative companies in Germany and receives the TOP 100 award for its outstanding innovative performances once more.
2005 It is the third consecutive time that a CAS genesisWorld user in the SME category was awarded a prize: At the CRM-expo 2005 trade fair in Nuremberg, the insurance company Assekuranz Herrmann and the telecommunications service provider TüNet won the CRM Best Practice Award.
2006 CAS Software AG is the first company from the IT industry that receives the award "Innovator of the Year". Prof. Dr. h. c. Lothar Späth also presents the award in the category "Innovationsförderndes Top-Management", a category that measures the success of the management in motivating employees to develop new ideas for the company, to Martin Hubschneider, Chairman of the Management Board of CAS Software AG.
